We recently conducted a survey of more than 12,000 industrial distributors and the message was clear: Streamlining their sales process and improving productivity is a top priority. One popular suggestion on how to accomplish the goal is to connect their CRM to manufacturers’ lead systems. The benefit is distributors spend more time with customers and less time in manufacturers’ systems. Manufacturers also gain a better understanding of the lead and opportunity status and a clear picture of the distributors sales pipeline.
Based on there survey responses, here is some key data that was identified:
- 70% of the distributors are currently using a CRM
- 82% of the distributors agree that connecting their CRM to their manufacturers’ systems would be of great benefit
